Sub8 with Nicola Spirig

Sub8 with Nicola Spirig

A historic achievement towards the end of an illustrious career: As part of the Pho3nix Foundation's Sub8 project, triathlete Nicola Spirig (40), who is set to retire at the end of this year, and her colleague Katrina Matthews became the first two women ever to complete an Ironman in less than eight hours. The final time in Dresden, Germany: 7:34:22 hours. We supported Nicola, the 2012 Olympic champion, in her preparations for this globally recognized event and also accompanied her to Germany.
