Once a year, the world’s best freestyle snowboarders gather at the Laax Open. Among the regulars in the prestigious field of participants is Swiss halfpipe crack David Habluetzel, who has been relying on our services since last August. Most recently, the 25-year-old made headlines when he qualified for the Olympic Games in Beijing at the beginning of December after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament a few weeks earlier. An extraordinary achievement, which was widely recognized in numerous national and regional media outlets (including Blick, SRF Sport, Zürichsee-Zeitung, Südostschweiz, Keystone SDA, Radio Zürisee).

While the competition in Laax did not go as David had hoped and planned for in terms of results, the Zurich native nonetheless left the Crap Sogn Gion mountain with a smile on his face. That is because he enjoyed much better luck in the sponsorship arena, where he was able to sign a partnership with FernUni Schweiz, a distance-learning University program, where he is currently completing his bachelor’s degree in economics.
